Viola Ardone

Viola Ardone, born in Naples in 1974, has worked in school publishing and currently teaches high school Italian and Latin.
He published for Salani the novels The Recipe of the Heart in Turmoil (2012) and A Sentimental Revolution (2016). She is the author of the rhyming short story, Cyrano with a Strange Nose (Albe 2017), illustrated by the plates of Luca Dalisi.
As part of the writing workshop in the Nisida Juvenile Penal Institute, he has published short stories in the collections: The Grammar of Nisida (2013), Words Like Bread (2014), Outside (2015), The Happy Words (2016), The Paper and Life (2017) and the novel The Last Trial (2018) with the Nisidians writing collective.
For Einaudi he published in 2019 Il treno dei bambini (The Children’s Train), in 2021 Oliva Denaro (with which he won, in 2022, the Segafredo Zanetti Prize, City of Asolo – “A Book for Cinema” Award) and in 2023 Grande meraviglia.
